Origin Story
The Accidental
(Auspicious)
Startup
29 Earth began with an unexpected discovery during my deep dive into AI—especially AI music production. My laptop was chronically overheating, and I simply didn’t have the resources to buy a new one. Desperate for a solution, I moved to my basement, where it was cooler, and placed the laptop on a small book to improve airflow.
A few hours later, I realized my laptop was cool to the touch — something that had never happened before. I dug deeper to understand why and stumbled upon a fascinating fact: my basement floor was unfinished concrete. That unpolished surface provided a direct energetic connection to the Earth, drawing heat (and electromagnetic fields) away from the laptop. In essence, the concrete acted as a natural sink, dissipating heat and EMFs safely into the ground.
I’ve long been interested in yoga, grounding, Earthing, forest bathing, and other nature-centric practices to optimize human health and performance, but it never occurred to me that the same principle could supercharge my laptop’s performance, too. Once grounded, my laptop no longer overheated — its electromagnetic field stabilized, allowing it to operate at its best.
Enter Copper
Since I have become a total AI nerd, I then used ChatGPT to figure out how I could optimize this setup, and everything pointed to one word… copper.
For millennia, copper has been prized by civilizations worldwide, yet it’s often overlooked in favor of gold or silver. From a conductivity standpoint, copper can actually outperform gold. It’s integral to electronics, technology, infrastructure, plumbing — you name it.
With the help of ChatGPT, I discovered that when copper is placed between a human (or a device) and the Earth, it acts like a “vacuum drain” for EMFs, discharging them directly into the ground. This discovery is massive in the context of our increasingly tech-heavy world. As AI continues to accelerate, so do the intensities and ubiquity of EMFs.
Solving the
Biggest Problem
of the AI Age
EMFs are the single biggest problem of the AI Age, and the problem is growing daily. More and more scientific research is coming out to support this, and dots are more easily being connected with the use of OpenAI’s technology.
Our mission at 29 Earth is to harness copper’s remarkable grounding properties to minimize and potentially completely eliminate the negative effects EMFs. This will go down in history as one of the greatest saves ever, especially from an AI infrastructure and wellness perspective. Furthermore, copper will optimize performance — for people and for technology. By grounding through copper, negative EMFs never accumulate, allowing for peak productivity, clarity, and well-being. We’ve personally experienced it, and we have seen it firsthand with my once-overheated laptop. We want to develop solutions that leverage these same grounding principles at scale.
This story might sound unorthodox, but at 29 Earth, we believe a lot of the greatest innovation starts when we reconnect with the most fundamental resource: the Earth itself. We also believe in the power of synchronicity and listening to the signs. We’re turning an accidental discovery into a profound technology for the AI era — one that merges ancient wisdom with cutting-edge science to help both humans and machines operate at their absolute best.
